Mission Overview

Velummayilum foundation is a family-run nonprofit organization that strives to provide aid for families and children in need in Point Pedro and Vadamarachchi areas with the aim to transform their lives for better. Founded in honour of the Late Mr. Velummayilum (Attorney at Law, Ex-Chairman Urban Council, Point Pedro) and Mrs. Lydia Pavalamalar Velummayilum, the foundation is solely dedicated to empowering, inspiring and uplifting children and families who are struggling the most in the area through various programs to improve their lives.

Our programs mainly focus on providing the highest standard of health, social welfare and education to offer better opportunities for those children to have a brighter tomorrow despite the hardships they have to endure today.

At Velummayilum Foundation we believe every child deserve a chance to have a better and secure future no matter the hardships they have born into. Thus, we are dedicated to helping them have hope and stability in their lives and help them build a better future for themselves.
