The Velummayilum Foundation is proud to celebrate five years of transforming lives. Throughout our journey, we have supported families in need and the farming community, opened opportunities in education and improved health and well-being.
The foundation has presented 35 students who passed their grade five exams in 2020 with school bags, certificates and trophies. The youngsters from families needing support were among more than 100 students who passed out in Point Pedro division schools.
Lunches in the local community were organised to celebrate the birthday of charity founder Daya Thayan. Those benefiting included Point Pedro Base Hospital staff and the residents of children's and elders' homes.
